Overview

The Sacred Valley of Ṭuwā (Arabic: وَادِي طُوًى) is the location at the foot of Mount Sinai where Allah first addressed Musa from the burning bush. It is named in two Quranic passages — Surah Ṭāhā 20:12 and Surah An-Nāziʿāt 79:16. Allah commanded Musa: "Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals; you are in the sacred valley of Ṭuwā."
